Altar of Plagues - Discography

A bleak black smog, a whirlwind of atmosphere, sucking up all within earshot and spitting them out changed men, Altar of Plagues have achieved said fury and deliver it in an ungrudgingly beautiful package of all that is light, and then all that is dark in this world, a beacon of hope, a testament to the apocalypse. If black metal traditionally conjures scenes of epic nature, massive cascading waterfalls and engulfing forests, Altar Of Plagues create stark images of crumbling sky scrapers, dying and rotten urban structures, empty cracked worn down highways and desolate vast oceans. There music explores the global condition and the earthly connections we are loosing as we pull ourselves further and further into the void that is modern civilization and further away from all that is natural, and perhaps, all that is good... enjoy!

Alter of Plagues discography is still in the writing, the pages that have been writ I shall read you:

First Plague [2006]

Through the Crack of the Earth [2007]

Sol [2008]

Whit Tomb [2009]

Thy Will Be Done - Discography

This is pretty much metal and its most generic, simple vocals, lyrics you've heard a thousand times before, the same guitar solo metal bands have been playing for the past twenty years, heavy riffs that sound like any other band out there but for some reason I can't get these guys out of my head, maybe there's subliminal messages hidden within that simply say, "You will like this" over and over until you're hooked, maybe it's the sheer energy of this unrelenting band, they never slow their shit down it's one hundred percent brutal american metal from the start of the album to the finish... or maybe it's just because part of me can't help but get hooked on catchy metal. TWBD is definitely for fans of (but not limited to) bands like; Lamb of God, and later Slayer. There's really not a lot more to say about Thy Will Be Done... they really do sound like a million other bands, just give it a listen... try and enjoy it.

Thy Will Be Done's discography is short and sweet, I'll run it down for you:

Was And Is To Come [2007]

In Ancient Of Days [2009]

Help!

That Minsk post was huge, can anyone tell me how to make RAR work on a mac, I can't figure that shit out for the life of me. I should also point out that I'm trying to figure out how to compress my files into a Rar format, I already know how to decompress them. Thanks.

Minsk - Discography

I started listening to Minsk in 2007 when Ritual Fires came out and I saw them in my home town. While the band still sounds largely similar to what they sounded like two years ago but just listening to this discography proves that they have come a long way, scraping their way along and finally getting real recognition a few months ago with the release of their fourth studio album. I guess this is best recommended to fans of Baroness or Rwake and perhaps even Mastodon but really anyone with a taste for the more psychedelic side of metal should feel right at home in the sounds of Minsk... I don't really have that much more to say about Minsk, check it out, if you like it support these guys by buying a thing or two from them, and as always, enjoy!

The Minsk Discography is kinda like this:

Burning Ep [I Honestly Don't Know}

Out Of A Center Which Is Neither Dead Nor Alive [2005]

Unearthly Trance Split [2007]

The Ritual Fires Of Abandonment [2007]

Echos In The Movement Of Stone [2009]

Servile Sect - Stratospheric Passenger

So I find myself creating a tight woven nest for myself in the Black Metal community and I'm finding it hard to make my way out of it and look at metal as a whole anymore, Black Metal almost sort of, of lack of better term, entrances me and it's hard to pull myself away. There's something about this music that you can get lost in, the moodiness, the emotion, or perhaps it's just that Black Metal is a music drenched in atmosphere, and not many bands out there can soak you up in a mist of atmosphere more then Servile Sect.
I first came across Stratospheric Passenger one day at the record store flipping through the metal vinyl when i pulled out this gem, I left it there at first but kept coming back to it over a period of a week. I kept forgetting to look them up when I got home so finally I just bought it, and when I got home and put it on I just sat down and let the music wash over me. It's easy to forget time with this band and let yourself slip down that dark tunnel of astral travel as their music sweeps you away. With Stratospheric Passenger it's a journey from start to finish and a journey well worth taking. Please, give it a try, let me know what you think and if you like it, please, by it from the good people at Ecstatic Peace. As always, enjoy!
